ABOUT THE COTTAGE
Chirstmas Cottage is located in the picturesque Swaledale village of Gunnerside, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The Cottage is dog friendly, cosy and full of character, with old beams, exposed stone fireplace and a log-burning stove. The cottage's many amenities and facilities are sure to provide a comfortable and pleasurable stay.
Christmas Cottage offers one Double and one Twin bedroom, as well as a spacious, well-equipped Kitchen-Diner,
a comfy Living Room and a modern Shower Room, making it an ideal holiday home for both couples and families.
There is also a south-facing sitting out area.

Walking
Whether you're in the mood for a stroll, a jog or a hike, strenuous fell walking or riverside ambling, there are numerous scenic rights of way, many starting right from the front door.
Food & Drink
You'll find plenty of cafés and tearooms as well as dog and family friendly pubs, including the Kings Head, Gunnerside which is only a few steps from Christmas Cottage.
Cycling
The Swale Trail cycle route passes through Gunnerside. Visit the Dales Bike Centre, Fremington for bike hire. Close to the start of the Swale Trail, it also has a 'Café and Cakery'.
Explore & Discover
There are museums, historic buildings, gardens, castle and caves to be enjoyed as well as unspoilt towns and villages. Swaledale's landscapes bear witnesss to a rich farming and lead mining heritage.
Beauty Spots
Scenic drives, country rambles and simple picnics offer opportunities to appreciate the stunning natural beauty of the Dales: Craggy uplands, lush river valleys, spectacular waterfalls and breathtaking views .
Grand Day Out
Consider travelling further afield for a day out on the beautiful North York Moors. Historic York is also within reach as are East Coast favourites such as Whitby , Scarborough, Filey and Robin Hood's Bay
